Portland Public Schools partner with child care organizations to offer licensed school-aged child care (5-12yrs) to registered families. Due to Covid-19, only a few of our contracted providers operate Emergency Child Care programs during Comprehensive Distance Learning in our buildings. These providers operate fee-based programs in 10 schools, with each school enrolling 2 small cohorts of 15 students, and offer distance learning support and enrichment for school-aged children. Additionally, these organizations prioritze low-income families who are also eligible for ERDC. For information on current child care sites and programs, visit the Comprehensive Distance Learning tab on the left. And, if you would like to learn more information about ERDC eligibility, click here.
