  • Welcome to Kindergarten!

    Starting kindergarten is an exciting time and an important step for the whole family. This website shares information about kindergarten and provides readiness tips to help you and your child have a confident start to school.

    • The first day of kindergarten is Thursday, August 30, 2018.

    • Kindergarten assessment meeting days are August 27 - 29. School staff will contact families to schedule a meeting.  To learn more about the Oregon Kindergarten Assessment, see the Family Advisory posted at the bottom of this page.

    • Would you like to share information about your child's interests, strengths, and challenges with the kindergarten teacher? Complete the Child Centered Plan and bring it to your assessment meeting. 

    • Your first step for preparing for school is to register for school! School buildings are open August 10th. For more information about registration, visit the Enrollment and Transfer Center website. 

    • Immunization requirements for Kindergarten students are posted here

    • All kindergarten classrooms are full-day and free to families. For more information about preparing for kindergarten and a typical classroom schedule, click the ABCs of Kindergarten link to the right. 

    • Good attendance in kindergarten helps your child succeed in school. To learn more about kindergarten attendance, visit attendanceworks.org.
