Katie Sullivan

Katie Sullivan teaches the Printmaking and Draw, Paint, Print pathway here at Ida B. Wells. She was born in New York City and studied Art at Lewis & Clark College and Portland State University. Prior to teaching at Ida B. Wells, she taught at Reynolds High School for 20 years. She loves teaching because she likes to create an inclusive and inspiring community. Printmaking is one of her favorite things, and she is excited to be teaching it at Ida B. Wells. Sullivan loves having a diverse set of students in her classes. “Every class I learn something new from my students,” says Sullivan. “I’m really grateful to be in this community.” In her free time, she loves painting, hanging out with her daughter, cooking, and seeing her friends.
