    Jade Marotta

    Senior, ASB President

    Jade has been part of the student government at Ida B Wells for the past 4 years, previously serving as a class representative, site council representative, and ASB event coordinator. During her time in leadership, she has created new events like the Ida B Flea and Rose City Flea, while building on past dances to represent the student body better and enhance the student experience. As ASB President, Jade is committed to supporting all student leaders who are inspired to make a difference, and she remains focused on exploring the possibilities and potential within the community we are building at Ida B Wells.


    Ainsley Porter

    Junior, ASB Vice President

     

    Ainsley Porter is a junior in her third year of student government. Previously being 9th and 10th-grade class representatives for the class of 2026, Ainsley is passionate about making a change in the community and making sure everyone's voices are heard. Other than being in student government, she is a member of Model UN, the band, cross country, basketball, and peer advocacy and student action committee. Ainsley is excited to represent her community and to meet new people this year.


    Mia Durham-LeBus

    Sophomore Class President

    Mia Durham-LeBus is a sophomore in her second year of leadership at Ida B Wells. Last year she was a member of the Intro to Leadership class and ran for ASB this past spring to build a school culture here at IBW. She’s excited to bring new ideas to the table including events, fundraisers, spirit activities and more. Outside of leadership, she’s a member of the IBW Cross Country team, the Women’s Basketball program, Key Club, Athletic Leadership and will be joining track this spring. Outside of school she’s a dancer and enjoys spending time in nature and having fun with friends. 

    Claire Dixon
    Senior, ASB Spirit & Athletics Director

     

    Claire Dixon is a dynamic leader at our school, currently serving as the Senior Spirit and ASB Athletic Director. With four years of leadership experience and two years in her ASB role, Claire has made a lasting impact on both our athletic programs and school community. As the driving force behind our spirited student section, Claire is known for her enthusiasm and inclusivity. Whether it’s leading cheers at sports games or organizing events that hype up our teams, Claire is always fostering school pride. Her mission is to unite our school community and amplify the importance of athletics and extracurricular activities. In addition to her leadership role, Claire is an accomplished athlete, competing at the varsity level in both basketball and soccer. Claire is looking forward to starting college in the fall and with her drive, dedication, and infectious energy, she’s sure to make an impact wherever she goes!


    Abby Maudlin

    Junior, Spirit and Athletics Representative

    Abby Maudlin is a junior in her 2nd year of Ida B Wells leadership, and so excited to be on the ASB team this year. A big part of her mission this year is to truly engage the community and get everyone to show up and show out with their school spirit. She loves being a part of the Wells leadership community and wants everyone to feel the vibrant energy of the program. Abby is passionate about so much outside of just leadership, like music and friendship. She hopes to lead a great example for the students in the Ida B Wells community during this school year.


    Kannon Walter

    Sophomore, Spirit/Athletics representative

    Kannon Walter is in his first year of IBW leadership and is ready to support the school in any way he can. Using his experiences as a RGMS student leader and a leader throughout his community, he plans on creating a fun and inviting space for all students at all grade levels. He believes that engaging all parts of the student body is vital to a welcoming and inclusive space at school. In his free time, Kannon plays football and lacrosse and is a part of a variety of IBW clubs.


    Jizelle Long

    Senior, Events Coordinator

    Jizelle Long is a senior in her second year of IBWHS leadership. She is an active member of her community, as the Black Student Union president for the second year in a row, creating a safe space for students of color and anyone who believes in equality and making a positive difference in the school. She strives to influence more people to join leadership or student government as well as clubs within the school. Outside of leadership, she participates and volunteers at her rhythmic gymnastics gym, and has been a part of it for 10 years. 


    Maddie Pillsbury

    Junior, Events Coordinator

    Maddie Pillsbury is a junior at Ida B. Wells High School and is in her third year of IBWHS Leadership. As an events coordinator, she wants to bring a fun and positive environment to dances as well as create new events for our entire community to enjoy. Outside of school, Maddie likes skiing, reading, and hanging out with friends. 


    Tasha Eichman

    Sophomore, Events Representative

    Tasha Eichman is a sophomore in her second year of IBWHS leadership. Tasha took Intro to Leadership her freshman year and throughout the year became interested in taking her leadership experience to the next level by running for an ASB position. Her goal as a member of Student Government is to make sure students have a say in their events, and she strives to make all events as inclusive and fun as possible. Outside of school, Tasha enjoys playing volleyball, spending time with friends and family, and helping out in the community in as many ways as possible!


    Saaleha Mohamed

    Senior, ASB Treasurer

    Saaleha Mohamed is a senior in her second year of leadership at IBW. She transferred during her junior year and joined the leadership class to help create an inclusive and positive academic environment. Her main focus was achieving financial transparency, which led her to run for ASB Treasurer. Apart from her involvement in leadership, Saaleha also serves as one of the Black Student Union presidents and is a member of the Muslim Student Alliance. She enjoys swimming, golfing, and volunteering at her local mosque in her free time.

     

    Paxton Foster-Kramer

    Junior, Interim Treasurer

     

    Paxton Foster-Kramer is currently a Junior at Ida B. Wells High School and has been involved in leadership at IBW for 3 years. Paxton is the Interim Treasure for the 24/25 school year. Paxton oversees most internal leadership purchases, spirit budgets, assembly spending, and fundraising. Prior to his ASB role Paxton served as the Committee Lead for 2 Advanced Leadership committees and was elected as the 2026 Class Representative his Freshman year. Outside of Leadership, Paxton loves hiking, camping, watching the NFL and he is the Varsity Goalie on the IBW Lacrosse team. 


    Gabe Horwitz

    Junior, Vice-Treasurer

    Gabe Horwitz is a Junior in his first year on the ASB team. He aims to improve the organization and tracking of ASB financials through more efficient systems and methods. He also wants to set up a student government that can better represent the voice of the students, and last for years to come. Gabe, through his founding and running of the organization Story Capsules, position on the Oregon Jewish Community Youth Foundation’s leadership council, and participation in Varsity Tennis at Ida B. Wells, has developed leadership, financial, and communication skills that he applies to his role. 


    Abby Powell

    Senior, Communications Director

    Abby Powell is a senior in her first year of IBWHS leadership. An active member of her community, she’s dedicated to making sure that everyone at Ida B. Wells is heard and informed! She wants students in all departments, clubs, and extracurriculars to feel like they know what’s going on, that their interests are important, and every opportunity is available to them! Outside of leadership, Abby’s a committed member of Southwest Stageworks, along with enjoying art, crochet, and other creative endeavors. 


    Taylor Howard

    Junior, Communications 

     

    Taylor Howard is a Junior at Ida B Wells High school. Taylor's goal is to communicate important events to everyone in the school, so no one will miss out and everyone can be included! Outside of Leadership, Taylor likes to play softball, write, watch movies and hang out with her friends and family.

     

    Isa Llados

    Sophomore, Communications

     

    Isa Llados is a sophomore and this is her first year involved in IBWHS leadership. She is focused on representation and forms of communication beyond social media. Outside of leadership, she is involved in many clubs and sports at our school.
