About CBRC
The Community Budget Review Committee (CBRC) reviews, evaluates, and makes recommendations to the PPS Board of Directors regarding the Superintendent's Proposed Budget and any other budgetary issues the CBRC or the Board identify. The CBRC also reviews the allocation and expenditure of Local Option Levy funds. The committee is typically composed of eight to twelve volunteer members appointed by the Board to three-year terms. The Board appoints student members to one-year terms. The CBRC generally meets monthly during budget development season, November through June, with additional meetings scheduled as needed. New members are recruited annually; the application to join is typically open from August to September.
CBRC meetings generally take place virtually and may be viewed by the public. Under the provision of ORS 192.670 all meetings will be live-streamed.
