As Regional Superintendent, Margaret oversees and supports PPS's nine comprehensive high schools and the alternative schools and programs in the Multiple Pathways to Graduation department. She moved into the position in February, 2021, after serving as principal at Jefferson High School-Middle College starting in 2011. During this time, she was named Oregon’s High School Principal of the Year by the Oregon Association of Secondary School Administrators in 2016 and also won an Excellence in Education Award from the Oregon Education Association.
Margaret started her career as a teacher in the North Clackamas School District in 1996 before joining PPS in 1997 and working as a Social Studies and Math teacher at Wilson and Grant High Schools. She moved into administration as a vice principal at Jefferson in 2008. Margaret earned a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Lewis & Clark College.
