    In Gratitude

    November 17, 2022

    Dear PPS families and students,

Every week, I am filled with joy and gratitude when I visit our school communities. We have a community that continues to demonstrate a commitment to the success of our children and youth. We have adults who care deeply for our students, and who work hard to ensure each child thrives.

Whatever your role in this shared work, thank you. You and your contributions advance the learning, growth, and achievement of our brilliant students.

In that spirit, our educators have been teaching students about Indigenous contributions to our community, state, and country during Native American Heritage Month. This is part of our ongoing commitment that all students will have their heritage and background celebrated as part of their educational experience. I invite you to join me in this commitment, and in celebrating Native American Heritage Day next Friday, November 25th.

    With much gratitude,
