Emergency and City Services Contacts

  • It can be difficult figuring out which agency or organization is responsible for different activities in Portland. To help you navigate problem-solving for common issues families face in our communities, we’ve compiled a list of contacts for who to reach out to when seeking a solution to a community issue.

Did you know that Portland has a centralized call center staffed 7 days a week by dedicated professionals well-versed in navigating the different departments and bureaus that respond to reported issues? Start with 311 as your single point of access to help with any questions or local government service needs within Multnomah County. 311 staff can help direct reports of abandoned vehicles, road hazards, illegal dumping, and much more to the appropriate services.

311 operates 7 days a week, 7am-8pm (excluding federal holidays). They can be reached by phone (dial 311 or 503-823-4000), email at 311@portlandoregon.gov, visiting their website, or speaking in-person with their representatives at the Customer Service Desk on the first floor of the Portland Building, 1120 SW Fifth Av.
