Student Educational Equity Development (SEED) Survey
The Student Educational Equity Development Survey (SEED) was developed by the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) to gather information about the educational experiences of students in Oregon. Results from the survey will help ODE define and allocate resources and supports for school districts and inform curriculum, instruction and other supports offered to students.
Districts are required to offer the SEED survey to all students in grades 3-11. Parents or students can decline participation. The easiest way to decline is for students to start the survey and answer "No" to the first question that asks whether the student wants to participate. Parents can also decline by completing the form at the bottom of this page and submitting it to the school or by talking to staff in the school office. The form must be completed each year.
The PPS SEED survey window for spring 2025 is February 18th - June 6th. The survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete.
Survey Results from Spring 2024
At this time, survey results are provided at the state and district levels only. State-level results are available here.
While we are reporting on district-level results for PPS, remember that not all schools had students participate at the same level. Each grade level report linked below includes response levels for individual schools. If you are thinking about a specific school when reviewing these results, be sure to take the participation level for that school into consideration.
