12/14/2018Good news! The current district Google domain apps4pps.net is changing to pps.net. The change is scheduled to take place for staff on Monday, Dec. 17, 2018 and for students on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2018.How does this change impact you? See the FAQs below.
Can I use Google apps during the outage?
You will experience a brief interruption when the accounts are renamed from apps4pps.net to pps.net. Google Drive is automatically signed out after a few seconds.You will be able to immediately sign back in using your renamed email address.
Can I receive email during the outage?
Yes. You should be able to receive all your emails during the outage.
Will I still be able to access my apps4pps.net account after the switchover?
No, you will not be able to use apps4pps.net after the switchover. However, any emails sent to your apps4pps.net account will still be directed to your pps.net email. Any documents that are shared with your @apps4pps account should also be accessible with your @pps.net account
Will I lose my data from Google drive?
No, all your data including Google docs, sheets, sites, forms etc. will still be available when you sign in with @pps.net.
Will I be able to access Gmail after the switchover?
No, you will not be able to use Gmail after this change. This change is a prerequisite for setting up Gmail. The timeline to set up Gmail for PPS is yet to be decided.
What if I already have a personal Google account set up with @pps.net?
I cannot login to my Chromebook? (Check if the domain on Chromebook is updated)
In response to recent phishing attacks, the PPS IT Department has added a tool to your Outlook email application in order to help make reporting phishing email attempts quick and easy. The “Report Phishing” button is available in Outlook -- Desktop, Web Client and Mobile App.

7/16/2018School administrators were surveyed in June, 2018 to report their satisfaction with IT Department service levels at their school and what improvements are needed. Of 42 responses received, 80% were mostly satisfied with the remote and onsite support that they received during the 2017-18 school year.
