Don Wolff came to Portland Public Schools (PPS) from the Hillsboro School District, where he served as Chief Information Officer. He oversees all PPS technology functions, including application maintenance, our data centers, help desk and hardware support, voice and data communication, and computer systems operations. Don earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Teacher from Southern Oregon University, and a Master of Educational Technology from Pepperdine University.Hailie Roark, PPS Manager of Security Operations
Hailie Roark came to Portland Public Schools (PPS) as a contractor with the Infrastructure team in 2021 as a Security System Administrator with a focus on security remediations in support of the district's 2020 technology bond. In 2022 she became the Manager of Security Operations. In that role, she helps protect the district’s systems and data. Previously, Hailie spent eight years serving at Reed College in multiple roles including infrastructure and telecommunications administration, IT project management, and user support management. -

Tech Town Hall - December 2021
11/22/2021PPS is moving forward becoming a digital first district. This is evidenced by the recently completed 1:1 Chromebook deployment in grades 3-12, new curriculum adoptions, the Digital ToolKit, and our recent experiences with Comprehensive Distance Learning through-out the pandemic. Living and working online presents challenges and risks, ones that the Office of Information and Technology Services (OTIS) takes very seriously. Join us for conversations and to learn more about the steps being taken and the changes planned in the district to help ensure that the data, privacy, and security of student and staff information is protected.
