    Welcome to the Portland Public School’s Substitute Administrator webpage. The purpose of this webpage is to provide information that will support and assist substitute administrators in PPS.

    Under the general supervision of a Senior Director, Substitute Administrators provide instructional leadership for an Elementary, Middle, PK-8, or High School campus while the regular full-time Administrator (Principal or Vice Principal/Assistant Principal) is unavailable. Retired PPS Administrators are eligible for hire as a Substitute Administrator.   .

    We will begin accepting applications for the 2020-2021 School Year this summer. We will begin reviewing applications and scheduling interviews in Fall 2020. Interviews are by invitation only.
