Welcome to the Portland Public School’s Substitute Administrator webpage. The purpose of this webpage is to provide information that will support and assist substitute administrators in PPS.
Under the general supervision of a Senior Director, Substitute Administrators provide instructional leadership for an Elementary, Middle, PK-8, or High School campus while the regular full-time Administrator (Principal or Vice Principal/Assistant Principal) is unavailable.
In order to be considered for a Substitute Administrator position, you must have retired from PPS in an administrator role and/or left in good standing from PPS in an administrator role and you must submit your application to the current Retired Substitute Administrator job posting.
