    Employee's social-emotional health and wellness are important to Portland Public Schools and Human Resources. We encourage employees to regularly practice self-care. The following resources are available to you at any time.


    Employee Resources


    Lines for Life
    Lines for Life is a regional non-profit dedicated to preventing substance abuse and suicide. They are hosting weekly Wellness Affinity Groups. Please see this flyer for additional information about these free virtual affinity spaces.


    Student Services & Health Department
    The Student Services & Health department has shared a variety of wellness tips and resources for self-care on the Social Emotional Learning in PPS > Wellness Resources for Educators.

    LGBTQ resources are available on the SS&H website.

    Staff Connection
    Additional resources are often shared through the PPS Staff Connection website such as discounts to fitness memberships, mindfulness apps, and courses.


    Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
    The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free resource for all benefits-eligible employees and any member of their household. 

    The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides services to help people privately resolve problems that may interfere with work, family, and life. Some services are listed below. Please visit the EAP website for additional information.

    • 24-hour Crisis Help
    • Childcare referral and Eldercare referral
    • Confidential Counseling - 5 free sessions per situation, per year to all benefits-eligible employees and anyone living in their household

    Leaves of Absence & ADA Accommodations
